graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw
in 1993 he wrote his M.A. dissertation on financial law “The Rules of Registration and Identification of Tax Payers (foundations of de lege ferenda)” under the supervision of Prof. Witold Modzelewski
he has been involved in tax issues since 1992, initially as an official at the Ministry of Finances and then as a tax consultant at international auditing companies and as a licensed tax advisor in law offices
in 1997, as one of the first 20 persons in Poland, he passed the exam for a tax advisor before the State Examination Committee on Tax Advisory and was entered on the list of tax advisors
he has a broad professional experience which he gained over the many years of practice in leading international auditing and consulting companies and law offices
during his professional career he has worked in the Ministry of Finances (on the team involved in preparatory works on the act on goods and services tax and on the excise tax act as well as on the by-laws of this act), in leading international auditing companies as a tax consultant , and cooperated, among others, with the largest French law office as their tax advisor
he lectured on tax issues and published articles on problems related to taxation in such dailies and periodicals as ‘Rzeczpospolita’, ‘Gazeta Prawna’, ‘Monitor Podatkowy’, ‘Puls Biznesu’, ‘Parkiet’, ‘Przegląd Podatkowy’ and ‘Prawo Europejskie w praktyce’
his professional experience includes providing services within traditional tax advisory in servicing commercial companies and business transactions as well as activities within:
• analyses of tax consequences to domestic and international structures and business transactions,
• identification and optimization of tax risks,
• tax advisory in mergers and takeovers,
• international taxes, in particular those related to taxation of business entities, dividends, interest, and license fees
